1974 CWC British Royal Navy...

£1,750.00

The Watch

This 1974 CWC was assigned to the British Royal Navy, specifically the Fleet Air Arm which is one of five arms of the Royal Navy. This is one of those watches that if watches could speak we would all be in for an incredibly long and interesting night, the stores it could tell would be powerful. On wrist you really get a sense of utilitarianism, coming in at 39mm with a very legible dial, a solid case design and paired on a NATO... You can't help but feel a sense of power with this on the wrist.

CWC has been providing the military with watches for many years and as you can imagine not many survive the day to day life of a military person, therefore for us to have an example of this watch is something quite special. We are honoured to offer this for sale and we have confidence that whomever buys this, they will enjoy it as much as we have.

Points of Mention

This watch was serviced in 2018 and is running well. The case and crystal are in unpolished condition and therefore signs of age and use can be seen. Some of the luminescent material on the dial has begun to fade away and even fall off, none of it is loose in the dial or movement. The running seconds hand in the subsidiary dial at 9o'clock has been replaced with a stainless steel arrow hand.

Personal Note

It is no secret I am a huge fan of CWC and military watches, it is also no secret I am not a fan of NATO straps... BUT, I seriously enjoyed wearing this watch and switching out NATO strap... I think a military watch may change my mind on them! I believe this is a truly great buy, so much history packed into such a small object.

1961 Omega Seamaster

£1,000.00

The Watch

This watch is 58 years old... And yet still looks so perfectly suited on the wrist as I'm sure it did 58 years ago. The Omega Seamaster is easily one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable watches alongside the Speedmaster and yet can still be head for a great price. This 1961 Seamaster is a desirable reference 14389 featuring applied roman numerals and subsidiary second hand, beautiful even patina throughout the dial adding to the charm. Seamaster caseback with Omega signed crown and featured on a leather NATO with an Omega signed buckle, what more could you possibly want?

As we all know Omega released a special edition Omega Seamaster 1948 based on the original Seamaster from 1948, this this isn't that reference it's pretty close. I think we will see the prices of vintage Seamasters continue to grow past what they already have in a short amount of time!

Points of Mention

The watch was serviced in 2017 and is in good working order. The dial does have patina as you can see, please view the images and make your own decision on that, we personally love it. The watch is paired on a leather NATO with an Omega signed buckle. Omega Seamaster caseback and Omega signed crown. Overall great condition with some signs of wear to the case, which is to be expected for a 58 year old watch!

Personal Note

This is my favourite reference of vintage Omega Seamaster as it combines all the things we love about the model but is still one of the most affordable versions! The patina on the dial is beautiful, the case is nice. Plus this is a definite strap monster! If I had the cash, this wouldn't even be displayed on the store right now!

Zenith Calatrava

£450.00

The Watch

Zenith offer some of the best value in vintage watches right now and it is a market that is growing in interest from collectors, therefore I suspect we will see prices creep up over the next few years. I have named this watch the Zenith "Calatrava" as the case dimensions are not only similar to a Patek Philippe Calatrava the overall design is very similar, the watch is a clean dress watch.

I believe the watch to be from the late 1970s based on design, the condition indicates this watch was kept in storage for most of it's life and the gold plating is in great condition as is the white dial.

Points of Mention

This watch comes with an original, time period correct, Zenith box. The watch comes paired on a new Crocodile strap with the original gold plated Zenith buckle. There is no service history though the watch is working well. The gold plating is also in incredible condition as is the dial, I suspect this watch was rarely worn.

Personal Note

Easily one of the best gold plated dress watches I have seen in a long time, not only in condition but also in design. It is an absolute treat on the wrist and works so well with any occasion when paired on a lighter strap, put it on a black leather strap and you easily have yourself the ultimate dress watch.

CWC G10 Tritium Military Green

£250.00

The Watch

We are excited to offer this awesome CWC G10 with an unusual Green Dial, their is genuine history with the green dial as they were made in the 1990s gulf war era and was an option to the standard black dials. This model was sold publicly in November 2017 and comes with it's full box and paperwork, original NATO strap is provided however the Bark & Jack NATO it is currently on works so well I don't know why CWC haven't set up a joint venture yet!

If you are a fan of CWC then I would say this is perfect for you! I have seen MANY CWC's and hadn't seen this one before, you'll definitely stand out in a room of military watches. These are still available at retail, however this is virtually unworn and comes with a extra NATO of incredible quality!

Points of Mention

The watch comes with it's original box, paperwork and NATO, currently it is paired on a Green Bark & Jack NATO which suits the watch so much better than the original NATO. The watch is virtually unworn with no signs of wear.

Personal Note

As said above, this is the CWC for the person with all the military watches or the person wanting one most won't have! You will not see many of these around... And that's amazing to me!

Seiko Champion Calendar

£150.00

The Watch

Vintage Seiko is always something special and whenever we get one in we all get very excited, however this one put us dead in our tracks. The design of this watch is so well thought out and shows what Seiko do well. The crosshair silver dial has developed a lovely and even patina, the gold tone hands are in great condition. But where this watch gets me is that date, it is a black date with gold text, how damn cool is that? Then a gold tone inner bezel, this watch is just beautiful.

If you are a Seiko fan then this watch is easily a no-brainer! However if you haven't given Seiko a chance in the past I would say here is your chance with a beautiful reference and one with a history that can continue to fascinate for years to come!

Points of Mention

This is sold as a watch only, no box or paperwork is provided and there is no service history. The watch features a gold plating which is showing signs of wear and discolouration in places, however it doesn't look out of place in my opinion due to the watch clearly looking old. The dial has developed an even patina, please see the photos to make up your own decision. The watch is in running condition and comes paired on an original leather Seiko strap.

Personal Note

I love this watch. I think if my description didn't show that then I don't know what will. I mean just look at the photos! If this watch had a "Prestigious Swiss" brand name on it I easily think it could be 10x the price and depending on that brand people wouldn't even take a double look and just buy! Snatch this up.

Raymond Weil Tank

£250.00

The Watch

Some of you will remember this watch, I sold it with first refusal to buy it back, when that offer came up I took it back in a second, transferred the money on the spot and put it straight on my wrist! I love this watch, the design is so strong and prominent, the case size is perfect on the wrist, the strap just pops in the light and the dial plays so well... Can you tell I really, really like this watch yet?

The dial of this watch reminds me of a wallpaper straight out of the 80s. The design is very clearly inspired by the Cartier Tank but it has a whole different feel, the design is very fun and colourful. This is perfect for the guy or gal who wants a rectangular watch, don't miss out on this one! Or do so I can keep it longer, I'm cool with that too... Hehe!

Points of Mention

Battery was replaced in 2017 and a new strap ordered from Raymond Weil directly to get the exact replacement to the old crocodile strap, they had 6 left in stock so I rushed to get it! The gold plating is in overall great condition, few signs of wear as you can see from the photos.

Personal Note

No need for this here, I may have gone over the top with my main description. I love this watch... Buy it, don't buy it... I'm cool as long as I get to keep it a bit longer haha!

Zenith Trench Watch

£250.00

The Watch

We are excited to bring this beautiful Zenith to the store, it is no secret my love for the brand and their vintage watches. I truly believe they offer some of the best value still on the vintage market! This model features such a beautiful and completely original, untouched dial with its original blued hands. It is on the smaller side coming in at 29mm however due to the case shape it wears very well in my opinion.

We believe this watch dates to the 1940s and I have named it a Trench Watch as it crosses the line between a Trench Watch in design and also a Military Watch, however it doesn't sit exactly on one side. This is great for the seasoned collector and also the newbie collector, it offers a lot for such a small price in the grand scheme of watches!

Points of Mention

This watch features a evenly patina'd dial throughout, original blued leaf hands and central seconds hand. The case is made of base metal and is showing some sings of wear, especially on the edges of the case. The stainless steel caseback is showing scratches too, the acrylic crystal is in good condition. The watch has a unknown service history, however it is running and working well.

Personal Note

This is a small watch and I am personally fine wearing small watches, I really enjoy it! However this watch would look amazing for a lady too, if you are not a small watch guy I think you should get this for the special lady in your life, get her into watches! And if your a lady reading this, treat yourself with this beauty!

Dushi Inversiones

£200.00

The Watch

Brand Name. How much does it mean to you? This watch offers everything you could want in a vintage watch... Incredible design, well thought out case dimensions and arguably most importantly, a very reliable movement, in this case it is the ETA 2789-1! I purchased this watch in 2017 and enjoyed my time with it, it was a true test to myself as a collector as I realised that I hold very little to brand name, sure it's nice to look down at your wrist and see that iconic crown. But at the end of the day you look down at your wrist and smile as you will NEVER see another one of these out there on another wrist!

I am proud to offer this for sale. Now don't be fooled by a limited edition run of "Only 10,000 Pieces" and instead treat yourself to this watch which you will very likely never see again online and most definitely will never see on another wrist! Now that's "Limited"!

Points of Mention

This watch has no service history though is working as it should and running nicely. The dial is very clean and the overall case condition is very good, showing typical signs of wear you'd expect for a vintage watch, however the gold plating is holding strong! The watch is paired on a Tissot leather strap with a gold tone buckle, suits the watch beautifully!

Personal Note

This watch will test you as a collector on how much you value brand name, this brand is a true unknown brand that I cannot find anything on (If you can do let me know!), but yet offers everything you could possibly want in a vintage watch. Great design, great size and a very reliable movement, it has a damn ETA in! So if you are a true collector we all know this is a no-brainer.

Longines Master Collection...

£750.00

The Watch

The Longines Master Collection offer some of the best value in modern watches, being backed by the giant Swatch Group certainly makes it easier for them to do and access to great movements is endless. This Master Collection 42mm Automatic is a great example of what they can produce for a very reasonable price, you get a nicely sized modern watch, vintage aesthetics with the honey comb dial, blued hands, day/date function, exhibition caseback and on a very well built bracelet.

Whilst being on the larger side at 42mm it has a short lug-to-lug length of 45mm which makes it wear on the wrist perfectly. If you are looking for a modern watch from a very well respected brand without having to break the bank, look no further. This offers it all.

Points of Mention

This is being sold as watch only, will fit up to a 7 inch wrist. The watch is in overall good and used conditions, signs of wear are visible but due to the design of the bracelet it wears them well. Unknown service history with the watch, it winds nicely and sets well, time keeping is good.

Personal Note

I have always been a fan of Longines for their Master Collection and their Heritage Collection, some of the best made watches in the modern world and aren't demanding silly money. This watch is perfect for someone knew to the collecting game as it offers everything they would ever need, it's also great for the seasoned collector looking for a great daily watch.

1962 Rolex Datejust...

£3,000.00

The Watch

The Rolex 1601 is one of our favourite vintage references from the brand, it is everything we know and love about Rolex but in a more subtle and understated package compared to their sport models. This early reference features a beautifully patina'd eggshell dial with applied gold indices and gold dauphine hands, these contrast perfectly against the dial. The iconic 18k yellow gold bezel against the steel oyster case makes for an incredible wearing experience, plus the case features drilled lug holes which makes changing straps convenient and fun, with a watch like this you will want to be experimenting with many straps.

Points of Mention

The dial does have patina as you can see from the photo. The watch has been professionally polished in the past and still has it's sharp edges without being too soft like we often see with polished oyster cases. The crown screws down nicely and winds smoothly, the watch was serviced in 2018 and is still running well. The watch is paired on a black leather strap with gold tone buckle.

Personal Note

I really love this reference, but this variation of the reference is one of my favourite. You get that classic datejust look whilst being even more subtle, sometimes sport Rolex models can be too loud on the wrist, this sits beautifully on the wrist being 36mm but also that pop of gold is just enough to make it nice and interesting still. If I was to get myself a datejust it would be this variant of the reference for sure.

Longines Conquest Heritage

£625.00

The Watch

This beautiful 35mm vintage inspired dress watch harps back to the original Longines Conquest from the 1950s, typically with these heritage re-issues the brands cannot resist changing a fair few things, whether that be the size or subtle upgrades to make it more "modern". I am pleased to say Longines resisted this temptation and created the perfect modern version of the classic watch!

The dimensions are basically identical apart from this watch being slightly thinner thanks to a modern and slimmer automatic movement, they even kept the domed acrylic crystal, probably one of the most attractive parts of a vintage wristwatch. Despite the smaller case dimensions on paper it wears so well, easily can compete with any 37mm watch on wrist presence. This is thanks to the thicker lugs, thicker case and overall design. The perfect Longines then and the perfect Longines now.

Points of Mention

The watch comes with it's full box and papers and comes on a new long strap. The crystal is acrylic and has a few marks, but this can be polished up. The watch is running well.

Personal Note

This Longines is easily my favourite modern Longines that they offer, having handled and sold the vintage reference of this watch I can say they truly did the original justice, right down to the size of the case. I am tempted to add one of these to my collection so take this before I do!

Glycine Airman 18 Sphair GMT

£700.00

The Watch

Glycine is a brand that has been around for a long time, since 1914 (Rough time to start a company) but is most known for their Airman series which debuted in 1953 which was designed for pilots with useful GMT functions. The watch measures in at a case size of 39mm which is a wise choice when you consider the lug design with the extra crown that locks the bezel in place to make sure of no change, which could be as detrimental for a pilot as the moving of the bezel for a diver.

The watch gets even better, with the added security of a locking bezel and a screwdown crown, the watch achieves 200m of water resitancy and can easily combat the water as well as the skies. If you are looking for a GMT but want to avoid the typical design, look no further!

Points of Mention

The watch comes with it's original box, hand tags and cleaning cloth but no paperwork. The watch was purchased in November 2016 and therefore has no service history but is running well. The condition is also very good for a pre-owned watch.

Personal Note

Whilst this is definitely not my usuaul design choice for a watch, when putting the watch on wrist to take some photos I find myself only taking it off after a full day of enjoying it. It wears so well, offers a unique design with the rubber bezel and extra crown and most all has a great design.
