Its bezel lock system made it quite unique and was soon adopted by the French Air force for its pilots. In the 1960s Yema became the leading watch exporter in France selling more than 500,000 watches a year in over 50 countries. In 1982 Yema went to space with Yema Spationaute 1.

It wasn't too long ago that I was fortunate to own a vintage Yema Superman and it is a real charmer, granted quality wise they weren't anything to shout home about, but design and looks were incredible! I have to say that Yema really has encapsulated that charm in these watches and brought them into the modern era with modern technology and movement!
