Paul Wyler in 1896 formed the Wyler Company. It was known for its durable and shockproof movements and models. Paul Wyler gained seven patents for his innovations. In 1927 he invented the "Incaflex balance spring", which was resistant to impact, and in 1932 he received for this, a patent. In the 1950s they even had an advertisement showing that a drop from a plane wouldn't even stop their watches, that's bold! But their most bold stunt was in 1956 when they throw two watches from the Eiffel Tower!
In 2007 at BaselWorld Wyler Geneve was relaunched to much fanfare and true to Paul Wyler created a watch with triple protection, a shock-resistant case, a crown guard and the famous Incaflex Balance. The R All Black was made from Titanium and Carbon Fibre sandwich covered in PVD. The multidimensional dial has 3 sub-dials and a date wheel at 4.30 position. To continue the automobile theme they have used a natural rubber crown guard and natural rubber strap reminding the wearer of tyres. Even the chronograph pushers are shaped like pedals.
The encased ETA 2894-2 is a tried and tested 28,800 BPH automatic with 42-hour power reserve.
