The Watch

Here we have an Unworn 2023 MB&F M.A.D.1 Red, in 2022, Max Busser launched a new product through the Mechanical Art Devices (M.A.D) Lab. This exclusive product was only available to friends and customers of MB&F. The 42mm polished and brushed stainless steel case has distinctive polished angular lugs that appear to float and form part of the case bracing on the back, a lug-to-lug length of 50.5mm and a case thickness of 17.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. At 12 o’clock you find the crown, the midcase is clear and enables you to read the time at 6 o’clock with two rotating aluminium cylinders of Arabic numerals, the top black one shows the hours and the red bottom one shows the minutes, a pointer helps to indicate the time. A smooth polished bezel holds a domed sapphire crystal above the striking dial that has the movement front and centre instead of the traditional hands and indexes. A translucent red outer ring holds the movement in place with a triple-bladed Titanium and Tungsten skeletonised rotor; each blade has a SuperLumiNova strip. At 6 o’clock we have “MAD1” completing this incredible unique-looking timepiece. On the reverse, we have the engine turned stainless steel X-shaped bracing with “It's a M.A.D. World” and “M.A.D. Edition” engraved into it. Inside an automatic Miyota 821A, 21 jewels, beating at 21,600 beats per hour. The watch comes paired with its 24mm black rally-style strap with red stitching and a double folding deployment clasp M.A.D signed and the watch comes with its special M.A.D. presentation box and paperwork.
