The Watch
Here we have an Unworn 2022 Unimatic U1S-MB Limited Edition of 500 pieces. The 41mm brushed stainless steel case curves in all the right places. A lug-to-lug length of 49mm and a thickness of 12.5mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, is a screw-down crown protected by crown guards. Its 120 clicks uni-directional sterile matte brown bezel has a lume pip at 12. A double domed sapphire crystal AR coated on the inside sits above a matte mocha brown dial. Large disc and baton indexes lume filled with Super-LumiNova Old Radium mark the hours. Broad phantom ladder hands filled with the same Super-LumiNova Old Radium lume and a brown reverse lollipop second hand with a Super-LumiNova Old Radium tip. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with deep engraving Unimatic conversion scale and its number out of 500. Inside an Automatic Sellita SW200-1, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The watch comes fitted on a Unimatic 22mm Brown two-piece calf suede leather strap with a signed buckle and an extra mocha brown seatbelt NATO strap and alsoomes with its Unimatic tough case and papers.
Personal Note
It is great to see the new world of Unimatic with the Sellita movements, as mentioned previously the difference in thickness is marginal, but it truly does make all the difference on the wrist. This brown is absolutely stunning, I would be biased as a Fears Brunswick Brown owner, but I truly believe Brown is going to be a colour we will see more from watch brands, it works so well and is surprisingly versatile.
