The Watch

BOLDR Supply Co. was founded by Travis Tan and Leon Leong, and Isa Ghani in 2015, based in Singapore and Malaysia. Making watches and apparel for modern urban adventurers, they started as a kick-starter project, and they have not looked back since their success. You can find them online and in brick-and-mortar stores in Paris, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Seoul.

Here we have an Unworn 2022 Boldr Venture Singularity with a 38mm Titanium black DLC coated case, taking its inspiration from the incredible black hole at the centre of the Milky Way called Sagittarius A as captured by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) scientists saw the bright ring of gases around the black hole which confirmed to them this phenomenon. On the right at 4 o’clock is a signed screw-down crown, a sapphire crystal AR coated sits above a Musou Black painted dial that absorbs over 99% of light. The hands are lumed in bright orange reflecting the colours of the event horizon. On the reverse a custom case back with an artistic embossed interpretation of the black hole’s event horizon, inside an Automatic NH35A. 24 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour, this workhorse movement has hacking and hand winding for your convenience. The watch comes fitted on its 20mm integrated black DLC-coated Titanium bracelet and also comes with its BOLDR presentation box and paperwork.

Personal Note

This is the perfect watch for someone looking for an all-black watch, the hands contrast so well against the dial and case and really make it an interesting wearing experience. Plus, for me, the case back was enough to sell me on the watch! I wouldn't hesitate at this price as they sold out pretty quick with Boldr and for one to appear brand new, well I suspect we won't see many more.
