The Watch
Here we have an unworn 2022 Bamford x Land Rover LR001, this Limited Edition of 100 pieces is a unique collaboration with a historic name in British Automotive manufacturing Land Rover, inspired by their iconic Land Rover Defender, a powerhouse of form and function. The 40mm sandblasted Titanium case sits over your wrist with integral fixed bars, perfect for fitting NATO straps. The flanks have a distinctive concave profile, and a lug-to-lug length of 48.5mm and a case thickness of 13mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a large Land Rover signed crown with deep knurling for grip. A smooth bevel-edged sandblasted bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal above a matte grey sandwiched dial and green glowing lower plate when charged, and an upper plate has an outer minute track precisely executed surrounding cut-out discs, triangle and curved markers for the hours, thick baton hands are filled with Super-LumiNova and complemented by a white tapered sweeping second hand, at 12 o’clock we have Bamford motif “Automatic” printed underneath and at 6 o’clock the customary Bamford aqua blue “LR001” “100m” complete this contemporary monochromatic rugged field watch. On the reverse, a solid screw-down Titanium case back embossed Land Rover X Bamford, inside a Top-Grade Aautomatic Sellita SW200-1b, 26 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, a robust and reliable Swiss movement. The watch comes with an 18mm NATO strap and Titanium keepers and is sold with its original Bamford presentation box and paperwork.

This release from Bamford, in collaboration with Land Rover, is the perfect example of what can come out of a passion for a brand, which is definitely what George Bamford has for Land Rover! Inspired by the iconic Land Rover Defender the titanium case features a unique design and incredible wrist presence like no other. I would not hesitate to add this to your collection!
The Brand
The Bamford Watch Company was founded by George Bamford in 2016, based in Mayfair London. They are famous for personalising and customising watches which all began when George had his Rolex Datejust DLC coated which was seen by many while in France and he returned with 25 people wanting the same process done to their watches, hence Bamford Watch Company was created. In 2017 Jean Claude Biver who was head of LVMH at the time saw the potential of offering their Bvlgari, Zenith and TAG Heuer customers this distinctive customisation without voiding any warranty and Bamford became their official customiser. Since then many brands have seen the same potential and successful collaborations have resulted. Due to this success, Bamford now offers its own line of watches including the Mayfair and GMT models including Limited Editions.
