This box set of Six watches is sold with an original Swatch and MOMA box, as photographed. The watches come paired on Swatch straps which match the respective dial artwork. The box set and watches are from March 2021 and the watches are in unworn condition. The watches come with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

Swatch is a subsidiary of the Swatch Group and was founded in 1983 by Ernst Thomke, Elmar Mock, and Jacques Müller as a direct response to the Quartz crisis during the 1970s and early Eighties. Its design aesthetic was intended to be fun and yet disposable. In 1997 they opened 60 stores worldwide; today there are over 3,000. The combination of aggressive marketing and efficient manufacturing using modern technologies such as ultrasonic welding put Swatch firmly on the map for affordable fun timepieces.

Here we have an Unworn 2021 Swatch and MOMA Special Edition Set SZS31. Limited to 221 pieces. A collaboration between Swatch and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) is presented in a special box set whose box design is inspired by the Blade Stair, a stunning architectural structure at the museum. The six watches have been hand-picked from the many exhibits at the New York City's Museum of Modern Art. Situated at 11 West 53rd Street, Manhattan. This stunning museum opened in 1929 moving to its present location in 1939. Offering over 200,000 works of art, there is something for everyone in this art collection. An incredible set of Six plastic watches of various sizes in this set includes designs inspired by Piet Mondrain -Oval with coloured planes, The City and Design by Tandanori Yokoo, New York by Tandanori Yokoo, The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh, Hope II by Gustav Klimt and finally The Dream by Henri Rousseau. Each watch is beautifully presented with the artwork covering the watch dials and straps giving you a unique view of each piece of artwork. The movement inside is Quartz.

Personal Note

If you are a fan of art and watches this will certainly catch your eye even if you have never considered a Swatch before! Each watch is available to be purchased at Swatch still, but this box set was only made with 221 total and all sold out immediately, so to get one set in brand new is a real treat and if this doesn't sell I'm going to proudly keep it as a display in our office.
