This watch is sold with its original Unimatic box and Unimatic paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Unimatic NATO strap plus a spare strap in the box. The watch is from 2019 and is sold in worn condition, but overall great condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.
The Watch
Made in Italy, Unimatic was founded by Giovanni Moro and Simone Nunziato. They were both trained as industrial designers at “Politecnico di Milano” where they shared a common interest and passion in wristwatches. They started Unimatic in 2015 with their first product, “Modello Uno”.
Our Unimatic Modello Uno U1-BTP collaborates with BIOTOP, the first store to carry the brand in Japan, selling exclusively in their stores, in Tokyo and Osaka and now in their new store in Fukuoka. The watch is limited to 100 pieces, ours is number 75. The 40mm brushed 316 stainless steel case tapers towards the lugs for a comfortable fit on the wrist. On the right side, a screw-down crown with crown guards. Between the lugs at 6 o’clock an engraved Unimatic U1. A unidirectional bezel has fine knurling to aid in grip. The expresso brown insert has 12-hour markings with a lume pip at 12 coated in Super-LumiNova Cream Old Radium for that vintage appeal. The 2.5mm thick double domed sapphire has an AR coating on the inside. A matte black dial has applied batons, 3, 6 and 9 indexes coated with the same Super-LumiNova Cream Old Radium. Black ladder hands with a reversed lollipop centre seconds hand are covered in Super-LumiNova Cream Old Radium, completing this Italian designed and Swiss-inspired dive watch. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with deep engraving celebrating the collaboration and its number out of 100. Inside an Automatic calibre Seiko NH35A, 24 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour. The watch comes fitted on a heavy-duty Unimatic black NATO strap with a signed buckle. Comes with its original Unimatic presentation box and papers.
Personal Note
This is now my favourite of the Unimatic's I have been lucky enough to have in stock, the dial and layout are perfect and the choice of colours really bring that vintage appeal into a large and modern watch in a unique watch. This is exactly why so many love Unimatic and their following continues to grow rapidly.
