Points of Mention
This watch is sold with its original Squale box & Squale booklets, including a watch roll, spare straps, and penknife. The watch comes paired with a nice fitting leather strap and signed buckle. The watch is from Circa. 2014 and is in worn condition, however is in overall very good condition, a crown is a little tight but other than that it is all good. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.
This is one of those cool watches with an equally cool story! So it goes that Squale found multiple, original, bakelite bezels in a drawer and decided to make a limited edition of 60 watches in 3 different colourways. The end result is incredible, it begs to be photographed and truly feels great on the wrist. It is quite a thick watch at 14mm but due to the shape of the 40mm case and the profile of the case back it actually hugs the wrist fairly well, which is even on a smaller wrist. Its polished and brushed round case has tapering lugs. The use of a Bakelite bezel here is what really makes the show! Also, the vintage colourways, of the 3 colours they used this is my favourite as it feels the most retro. I think they made a great choice of making it this limited. The white dial has lumed squares indexes for hours. At 3 o’clock a date window. Broad fence hands have lume infill. Its center seconds has a square balance. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with Master etched into it. Inside an Automatic ETA 2824-2, 25 Jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. It has hacking and is probably one of the most recognised watch movements. Manufactured in 1982 it was based on the Eterna cal. 1427. Fitted on a 20mm leather strap with a signed buckle.
Now that Page&Cooper is out of business it makes this limited edition even more interesting as they were often the ones to get any of these limited editions back in stock if they came up, which was very rare in the first place. Having made only 60 altogether in 3 colour ways, it makes this really a limited edition of 20 total. I wouldn't miss this one, chances are it will be a long time before another comes up again.
