Lorsa was a small case/movement manufacturer in France. It was amongst a handful of brands paying homage to the 1970s Porsche Design including, Le Jour, Orfina, Gallel, and Croton. This particular watch has characteristic all-black styling. You can see it is clearly inspired by the very first Porsche Design watch. The Porsche Design Studio (now Studio F. A. Porsche) was established in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1972 by Prof. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (nickname Butzi), Grandson of the Porsche founder Ferdinand Porsche and designer of the Porsche 911. At the studio, they created many items such as luggage, sunglasses, pens and of course watches sold internationally in their boutiques.
The 42.5mm all-black PVD case has the pushers and crown fitted on the right side, a flat crystal protects the black dial with a tachymeter running underneath the crystal rather than a bezel on the outside. The inside minute track has slim batons marking the hours. The chronograph has 3 dials, configured as 30 minutes at 12’o’clock 12 hours at 6 o’clock and continuous running 60 seconds at 9 o’clock. A day-date at 3 o’clock completes the dial. White on black was chosen to emulate the aviation and motor vehicle dials of the time. Broad baton hands are complimented with a red chronograph seconds hand. On the back a stainless steel screw-down case back. Inside a clone of the automatic chronograph caliber 7750. Fitted on a black PVD unsigned bracelet and clasp.

This was a fun watch to acquire! I've always loved this design and when I saw this, I just had to have it! Purchased from a watchmaker who put it all together, it was serviced and is running great. Inside is a clone of the Automatic chronograph caliber 7750, so not an original but not signed with any brand either, it is running well and built with the same architecture. Due to this, it is priced as such, but this makes it an even better deal!
