Points of Mention

This watch is sold as a complete set and therefore comes with its original Seiko box and original Seiko paperwork with the guarantee card being signed August 2019. This watch has plenty of warranty left and is in great condition, worn a handful of times at most!

The Watch

The Seiko Alpinist has been a fan favourite of Seiko for the longest time, so when Hodinkee announced this limited edition of just 1959 it sold out pretty much immediately with them selling over retail on ebay before they had even been delivered! The dial of this SPB089 is a beautiful shade of blue, it really catches the light in certain angles and gives of a unique glow. Having 200 metres of water resistance with its screw down crowns and also featuring a sapphire crystal, this watch really is one made to be used and enjoyed!

Inside powering this beauty is the 6R15 automatic caliber by Seiko, one that they have become famous for along with their 4R line for their great accuracy and longevity.

Personal Note

This is another Seiko that will go down in the history books as a big success! I think we will continue to see this trading over retail and I doubt very much we will ever see it dip under, it is a very attractive dial on an already attractive and easily wearable watch!
