Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Schofield box and Schofield paperwork. The watch comes paired on an original Schofield strap with original Schofield signed buckle. The watch is from 2015 and is in worn condition, but overall very good as you can see from the photos, the case being all polished it does have some hairline scratches to the finish. The watch was serviced by Schofield in 2018 and comes with paperwork for that, it is running great and comes with KibbleWatches 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

In 2011 at Salon QP in London Giles Ellis introduced the world to his Schofield brand. Based just north of Brighton in Sussex on the south coast of the UK. He is part of the British watchmaking revival. The Signalman is limited to 300 pieces. Inspired by the 18th and 19th-century Lighthouses found around the UK coastline. It has a 44mm stainless steel case with its shape based on the powerful lights used in a Lighthouse, it is highly polished giving a mirror finish. The case has a 4 part patented construction of stainless steel which explains its 15.5mm thickness on the outside and a 2 part anti-magnetic movement shell. The crown has 2 gaskets once locked down gives the watch 500m water resistance. The sapphire crystal sits just under the lip of the bezel it has AR Coating for better viewing. The black dial is made of brass and coated in copper oxide to give it the black it is multi-leveled with the applied numerals and indexes on the top level while the power reserve indicator and GMT Subdial, a date window at 3 o’clock is recessed on the lower level. The pusher for the GMT is unusually built into and through the lug assembly. Its diamond-polished hands are held by tiny pins and filled with Superluminova. On the back a screw-down case back with a Lighthouse engraving radiating light. Inside an Automatic Swiss Soprod Cal. 9335 based on the Soprod Alternance 10 Calibre (A10) movement with the 9335 module placed on top to handle the Power Reserve and the GMT complications.25 Jewels 28800 Beats per Hour. Personal Note

This is my second Schofield for the store in quick succession, the last one sold within a few days of going live! They are great looking watches and certainly reach a certain market incredibly well, those into smaller brands who make something truly unique and interesting.
