Points of Mention
This watch is sold with its Original Schofield Box & Schofield Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Schofield signed strap with Schofield signed red ceramic buckle, the original black ceramic buckle is also provided. The watch is in worn condition with no signs of wear thanks to the Carbon case. The watch was originally sold via Schofield in 2013, this was purchased at an event from Schofield in 2018 and is running great.
In 2011 at Salon QP in London Giles Ellis introduced the world to his Schofield brand. Based just north of Brighton in Sussex on the south coast of the UK. He is part of the British watchmaking revival. Each Limited piece has a run of 101 and is named after a UK Lighthouse found around its coast. Released in 2013 this Limited Edition BlackLamp Resurgence Carbon, has a 44mm Morta matrix Carbon case cut from a solid piece of Morta Carbon, a very difficult and expensive process, which has taken a year of R&D resulting in a delicate balance of hand production and precision machining. Creating a unique grain on each piece made, resembling the layers of rock seen at the various lighthouse locations. Sapphire Crystal sits above the stepped dial crafted from black-lacquered brass, concentric circles engraving, a blue minute track with applied indexes and numerals 0,3 and 9. A sub-seconds at 6 o’clock with red tip detailing. Elegant skeleton sword hands with lume tips. Tritium gas light is housed in the crown creating a constant glow dim during the day and more visible during the night. Under the crystal, a ring of “Moonglow” a luminescence developed by Nasa, illuminates the dial in a new and interesting way. Behind the sapphire crystal exhibition case back you find a Manually Wound Unitas 6498-2 17 jewels beating at 21600 beats per hour. Engraved around the movement you will find the coordinates and the timing pattern of the light at the individual Lighthouse. Fitted on a leather strap with a very bright red ceramic buckle, the originally signed buckle comes in the box.
Such an incredible and crazy timepiece, it truly won't be for everyone, but anyone who has followed KibbleWatches long enough will know this is what we LOVE to get in for stock! The carbon case is insane, the unique flows and patterns it provides is mesmerising, match that with the large Unitas manually wound movement in the back, it is a great pairing of both old and new. As stated, this won't be for everyone, but that is exactly why I love it so much, it is fun and insanely well crafted and quite truly unique! The dial is spectacular, the movement is beautiful, the case is futuristic, the size is large... It IS Schofield!
