The Watch

Here we have an attractive Frederique Constant Classic Moonphase FC-715V4H4 that takes its inspiration and design aesthetics from pocket watches of the past, the 40mm Rose Gold plated case curves over your wrist with thick tapered lugs, and a lug-to-lug length of 47mm and a case thickness of 12mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, an onion-style crown and a stepped smooth bezel hold a convex sapphire crystal above a crisp white dial. An outer minute track is precisely executed with Rose Gold plated chamfer-edged baton indexes marking the hours, at 6 o’clock the moonphase disc and pointer date ring with a rose gold plated hand. Elegant Rose Gold plated Dauphine's hands are complemented by a tapered sweeping second hand, at 12 o’clock we have the Frederique Constant motif that completes this vintage-inspired classical dress watch. On the reverse, a hinged Rose Gold plated case back (hunter style) opened by a small flange on the side with an exhibition window showcasing the in-house automatic Frederique Constant Cal. FC-700, 26 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, the movement was developed in 2009, the crown adjusts the date and moonphase in position one, it has a skeletonised gold-toned rotor and is decorated in classic Cote de Geneve and perlage. The watch comes fitted on a 20mm Frederique Constant brown Alligator strap with an attractive signed deployment clasp and the watch comes with its Frederique Constant presentation box and paperwork.

Personal Note

Frederique Constant is one underrated brand in the watch world, especially with their in-house calibres, fantastic finishing and great designs... This model is truly wonderful on the wrist, the size is fantastic and wears well but appears bigger, which may be a desirable feature for those with smaller wrists. Plus the moonphase positioning and the hunter-style case back to reveal the movement when opened, I much prefer this to an open case back personally. This is one to book an appointment and come see in person if you are unsure, once on your wrist you'll be blown away.
