Points of Mention


This watch is sold with its original Eterna box and original Eterna paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Eterna Leather strap with a rubber underside, Eterna signed buckle too. The watch is in worn condition but is overall very good, see the photos. The watch is running well as you would expect.


The Watch

The Eterna KonTiki Four-Hands is inspired by the watches worn on the 1947 KonTiki expedition of Thor Heyerdahl and his crew, who made the incredible crossing of the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands on a raft made of balsa wood.  It took 101 days over 6,900 km (4,300 miles). The 42mm case is black PVD coated stainless steel. Domed sapphire crystal covers a black and grey stepped dial, with outer minute track, baton hour markers. An inner date ring with a red-tipped hand to show what the date is. Dauphine’s hands for the minute and hours complete with an arrowhead second hand. Thus the reason the watch is called Four-hands. On the case back we have a nicely embossed depiction of the raft.  Inside an Automatic Sellita SW200-1 26 Jewels 28,800 beats per hour, hacking and quick date functions. Fitted on a 22mm strap with folding clasp.


Personal Note

A brand with incredible history, a watch which looks amazing and is affordable, what's not to like? I know I say this with a lot of watches, but I really don't think this will stick around for long! I wouldn't wait.
