D.Dornbluth and Sohn is an incredible Father and Son Watch Company, now with a team, but it all began with the dream of Father Dornbluth in 1959 and later made true with his Son in 1999! The watch speak to the classic Glashutte Calibers and design, simplicity and beauty in one. The dial very reminiscent of early pocket watches with a very similar finish, all this put into a modern sized case that looks truly brilliant on and off the wrist, with such a large exhibition case back to admire that beautiful movement! All in you have a very lovely watch from a great manufacture with an even better story, what is not to like?
Points of Mention
This watch is sold with its box and paperwork, guarantee signed in 2004. The watch is overall good condition and is showing signs of wear, but nothing too major as you can see from the photos. The movement winds and sets nicely, though service history is unknown, but running well. The original strap is in the box, but it is not in the best of shape so I have put a new strap on which matches the old nearly perfectly.
What a joy this watch has been to photograph, it just begs to be placed in light and snapped and different angles! On the wrist it is also a dream, whilst a little larger than I would have personally chosen it doesn't feel out of place on the wrist at all!
