Points of Mention
This watch is sold with its original Christopher Ward box and original Christopher Ward paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Christopher Ward Leather strap with Christopher Ward signed Bronze buckle. The watch is in worn condition but is overall very good, see the photos. Do keep in mind this is a Bronze watch, therefore Patina and oxidization WILL happen! The watch is running well as you would expect.
The Watch
Inspired by the use of bronze in maritime history, the C60 Trident Pro 600 has a 43mm CuSn6 marine grade bronze case with curves in all the right places. A bronze bezel with high relief Arabic numerals. Flat sapphire crystal protects the deep blue dial with “old Radium” Super-Luminova applied baton indices, a small date window at 3 o’clock. The minute and hour hands have the same “old Radium” Super-Luminova giving real character, a centre seconds hand has the Christopher Ward Trident which continues the maritime theme. On the rear, we have a stainless steel screw-down case back with the deep engraving of the trident sitting on a wavy pattern. A screw-down crown and case back provide 600m/2000ft water resistance. Inside an Automatic Sellita 200-1, a 26 Jewel, 28800 Beats per hour. A robust and reliable movement. Fitted on a 22mm vintage oak leather strap with a matching bronze buckle.
Personal Note
Christopher Ward over the past few years have seriously upgraded their quality without massively upgrading their price! I would argue that some of their offerings are some of the best value for money you can get in the market at the moment, especially on the pre-owned market! This Bronze offering is a great example of that, where else can you get a bronze watch of this quality with a great Swiss movement for this price?
