Points of Mention
This watch is sold with its Original Bremont Box & Bremont Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Bremont signed rubber strap with Bremont signed buckle. The watch is in worn condition with a few signs of wear, a few hairline scratches to the Titanium case. The watch was originally purchased in October 2014 and there is not in its original manufacture warranty, service history is unknown but the watch is running well and will come with a 12-Month NON-WATERPROOF warranty, I'd advise a pressure test before taking this watch in water.
The Watch
Famously worn as a prototype by explorer Ben Saunders during his incredibly difficult walk to the South Pole from Scott's Hut on the north shore of Ross Island in the Antarctic to the South Pole in 2013. Bremont officially released this Limited Edition Terra Nova in 2014. Its 43mm case is made from Grade 5 Titanium with polished and brushed surfaces so perfectly done you’d mistake it for stainless steel, an impressive achievement. The screw-down crown sits at 2 o’clock. Its case has a rubber sandwich construction making it resistant to extreme external conditions. An automatic Helium valve is fitted. Alongside an inner soft anti-magnetic Faraday cage.
The bi-directional bezel interestingly has the degrees of the compass rather than the usual dive time indicated. Sapphire crystal sits above the black dial with a 24-hour track around its outer edge, Super Luminova lumed disc and baton indexes indicate the hours. Syringe and spade hands are lumed with a GMT arrow hand with a yellow tip that sits right up against the 24 hour markings.makes timekeeping direct and straightforward. A date window is framed at 3 o’clock. The screw-down case back is nicely engraved with “THERE AND BACK” and a mountain scene with a path splitting it indicating their journey. 500m water resistance. Inside Automatic Modified calibre 11 ¼''' BE-93-2AE which is a modified ETA 2893. It’s COSC Certified 25 Jewel beating at 28800 beats per hour. Fitted on an integrated black rubber strap with a signed buckle. Limited to 300 pieces, this one is number 69.
Personal Note
A some have said, this is what happens when a watch meets water, air and land! It truly is the perfect, all-round, explorers watch. The finishing to the Titanium case is beautifully executed and looks fantastic especially when paired with this fitted rubber strap, incredibly comfortable and surprisingly compact on the wrist, meaning even us smaller wristed guys can enjoy this watch.
