Here we have an Autodromo Group B Rally Sport Chronograph H01 for Hodinkee, which is a limited edition of 064/100 pieces; this partnership represents a modern tribute to the vintage elegance of Rally Group B's cars, combining their form and function which created truly legendary vehicles. The 40mm tonneau-shaped case is made with a bimetal construction of dark grey IP-coated stainless steel mid-case and Titanium bezel and Titanium case back; brushed stainless steel has crisp lines leading to the drilled angular lug, a lug-to-lug length of 50.5mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. Down the right side, we have the hexagonal piston chronograph pushers and a signed crown in the centre. The stepped brushed Titanium bezel has six notches cut into it, holding a bevel-edged sapphire crystal above a dynamic shades of green dial. An outer dark green Tachymeter scale surrounds the precisely executed minute track with baton indexes marking the hours; at 3 o’clock, a 30-minute register; at 6 o’clock, a 12-hour register; and finally at 9 o’clock, the continuous seconds register, each with white accents and hands. The baton hands have a black line through them and are complemented by a green-tipped chronograph hand. The combination of the hands and dials reminds us of the dashboard dials found on those iconic Rally Group cars. At 12 o’clock, we have the Autodromo motif and “Rallysport Chronograph” printed underneath; through the 6 o’clock register “, Group B” completes this monochromatic motorsport-inspired chronograph. On the reverse, a screwed-down Titanium case back with Autodromo X Hodinkee and the number out of 100 engraved into it, inside a manually wound Sellita SW 510 MB, 23 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour; this movement is based on the Valjoux 7750 design. It comes paired with its 21mm grey IP-coated stainless steel bracelet with a signed hidden clasp, and the watch comes with its Autodromo presentation box and paperwork.
