Description

Here we have a 2026 Venezianico Arsenale 40mm Automatic Black/Grey Dial. The brand draws continuous inspiration from the architectural beauty of its home city, naming this model after the historic Venetian Arsenale shipyard. The polished and brushed 40mm 316L stainless steel tonneau-shaped case delivers a striking, modern sports-watch silhouette on the wrist. An ultra-compact lug-to-lug length of 44mm and an incredibly slim case thickness of just 9mm ensure a beautifully integrated, ultra-thin fit. The case body flows seamlessly into a prominent 24.5mm integrated lug profile, topped by a signature split smooth-and-coin-edged bezel. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal sits flat above the star of the show, a black/grey dial featuring a deeply textured vertical Côtes de Genève finish. This delicate wave pattern creates an elegant, shimmering light play across the dial surface. The dial layout is perfectly balanced, utilising a minimalist, no-date format to emphasise pure symmetry. Simple, faceted applied baton indices mark the hours on the outer edge, paired with sleek, polished skeletonised Dauphine hands that skip a running seconds hand to retain the watch's hyper-clean aesthetic. On the reverse, a screw-down solid case back features a detailed laser engraving depicting the iconic towers of the Venetian Arsenal shipyard. Inside is a premium automatic Miyota Cal. 9029 movement, featuring 24 jewels and operating at 28,800 beats per hour. The watch comes paired with its integrated stainless steel Canova Concept H-link bracelet, featuring a hidden butterfly clasp and polished bevels; all links are provided. This watch is sold with its original Venezianico box and paperwork.

Personal Note

The Arsenale really surprised me. On paper, it looks like another integrated-bracelet sports watch, but once it's on the wrist, it feels like something much more special. The proportions are spot on, the case is impressively slim, and the bracelet integrates beautifully, making it incredibly comfortable to wear. What impressed me most, though, is just how much watch you're getting for the money. The quality of the finishing, the textured dial, and the overall execution genuinely punch well above this price point. Inevitably, comparisons will be drawn with the Christopher Ward Twelve, and having spent time with both, I'd go as far as saying I actually prefer the Venezianico on the wrist. It feels every bit as refined while bringing its own distinctive Italian design language to the table. I would not hesitate to add this watch to your collection today!

About Venezianico

Venezianico is an Italian watch brand that was established in 2017 by brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morell. The inspiration for the brand came during their time at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, where they envisioned watches that embodied the essence of their hometown and showcased their dedication to the art of watchmaking. The brand name Venezianico is a combination of “Veneziano” (which translates to “of Venice” or “from Venice”) and the Latin suffix “-ico.” As part of their branding, the brothers selected the golden Renaissance cross atop the Clock Tower in St. Mark's Square as their emblem. This cross serves as a poignant symbol of the passage of time in Venice.
