Here we have a 2025 Tudor Black Bay 58 Burgundy Dial on Jubilee, reference 7939A1A0RU, featuring a 39mm stainless steel case that balances vintage proportions with modern robust engineering. This "Master Chronometer" certified evolution of the Black Bay line features a slimmed-down profile with a case thickness of just 12.8mm and a lug-to-lug length of 47mm, ensuring a comfortable and classic fit on the wrist. The polished and satin-finished case is topped with a unidirectional rotatable bezel in striking burgundy, featuring a 60-minute graduated disc in anodised aluminium. A domed sapphire crystal protects the clean, "T-fit" aesthetic of the dial. The dial is a masterclass in "Neo-Vintage" design, featuring a striking sunburst burgundy finish. The iconic "Snowflake" hands and applied hour markers are generously filled with Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in all conditions. At 12 o'clock, the Tudor shield stands proud, while the "Master Chronometer" text at 6 o'clock signifies the watch's rigorous METAS certification. The screw-down crown, adorned with the Tudor rose in relief, ensures a water resistance of 200 metres. Turning the watch over reveals a solid screw-down case back, behind which beats the automatic Tudor calibre MT5400-U. The watch comes with the highly sought-after five-link "Jubilee-style" stainless steel bracelet, featuring the Tudor “T-fit” rapid-adjustment clasp for a perfect fit. Personal Note

The Black Bay 58 Burgundy feels like Tudor refining an already very successful formula rather than reinventing it, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The 39mm case remains one of the most wearable proportions in the entire Black Bay line, keeping that vintage-inspired character without ever feeling undersized or delicate. On the Jubilee-style bracelet, it takes on a slightly more refined, almost dress-leaning presence, which contrasts nicely with its dive watch roots. The burgundy dial and bezel are the real talking point. It’s a colour that could easily feel loud, but here it’s been handled with restraint. I would not hesitate to add this watch to your collection today!

About Tudor

Swiss watchmaking company “Veuve de Philippe Hüther”, on behalf of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex watches, first registered the Tudor trademark in 1926. Wilsdorf took it over himself in 1936. Soon after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf, who founded Rolex, knew that it was time for Tudor to have a proper identity of its own. The Tudor Rose started to appear on their dials from this moment. On 6 March 1946, he founded the company “Montres TUDOR S.A.”, producing watches for both men and women. Rolex guaranteed the overall design aesthetic, as well as distribution and after-sales service. In 1948, we saw the first Tudor-specific advertising. A few years later, they introduced the TUDOR Oyster Prince in 1952. Hans Wilsdorf allowed Tudor to use their waterproof Oyster case and the original self-winding Perpetual ’rotor’ movement. This was an exclusive arrangement that benefited both brands. Development soon commenced with the introduction of the TUDOR Oyster Prince Submariner, reference 7922, in 1954. This watch was quickly adopted by the French Navy in 1956. Building on their reputation of robustness in 1961, the Rose was replaced by the shield. Later in 1969, we saw the design changes in Ref. 7016, where for the first time, square indexes and angular hands nicknamed “snowflake” allowed for a greater amount of lume to be applied; the divers of the French Navy appreciated this. Today, these innovations can be seen in the Black Bay and Pelagos collections. In 1971, Tudor introduced the Oysterdate chronographs, nicknamed “Monte-Carlo” for their resemblance to a roulette wheel. Celebrating their 50th anniversary in 1996. In the same year, Tudor decided to replace Rolex-signed components such as cases, crowns, and bracelets with Tudor-branded ones. Today, Tudor uses their in-house movements developed initially in 2015 in collaboration with Breitling.
