Description

Here we have a 2025 Stowa Antea Classic 365 Automatic Date featuring a perfectly balanced 36.5mm polished stainless steel case. The Antea line is a masterclass in the legendary German Bauhaus design philosophy, closely mirroring the minimalist aesthetic and clean lines that Stowa first introduced back in 1937. With its strictly geometric proportions and functional clarity, this piece strips away all unnecessary distraction to celebrate pure, timeless design. An ultra-slim case thickness of just 9mm and an elongated lug-to-lug of 45.5mm ensure a remarkably sleek, flat profile that sits beautifully on the wrist and slips easily under a shirt cuff. At the 3 o’clock position sits a knurled push-pull crown, subtly engraved with the historic Stowa logo, allowing for smooth manual winding and quick time and date setting. A razor-thin bezel frames a flat sapphire crystal above a crisp silver-coated dial. The minimalist dial layout features the characteristic Bauhaus font for its Arabic hour numerals, complemented by a clean, outer minute track. Positioned discreetly above the 6 o’clock index is a framed date window that seamlessly integrates with the dial's strict symmetry. Sweeping across the layout are needle-thin, temperature-blued steel hands that offer a stunning contrast depending on how they catch the light. On the reverse, a screw-down display case back showcases the mechanical heart within. Inside beats the reliable Sellita Calibre SW200-1 automatic movement. This high-grade Swiss-made movement features a centre rotor, hacking seconds, and a quick-set date function. Stowa beautifully finishes the calibre with a custom-engraved rotor, providing robust German engineering and everyday precision. The sharp, angular lugs step down to an 18mm width, effortlessly framing the 18mm Stowa strap and pin buckle.

Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Stowa box and paperwork. The watch comes paired with an 18mm short Stowa strap and pin buckle. The watch is from December 2025 and is sold in a hardly used condition, as you can see in the photos. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

Personal Note

If you're drawn to Bauhaus design, there are plenty of options out there, but very few offer this combination of authenticity, quality, and value for money. What sets Stowa apart is the history behind the name. This isn't a brand trying to recreate a design language decades later; Stowa was there, producing watches in this style during the Bauhaus era itself. That heritage gives the Antea a level of legitimacy that many competitors simply can't match. The result is a watch that feels incredibly pure. Clean lines, perfect proportions, beautiful blued hands, and absolutely no unnecessary clutter. It's a reminder that great design doesn't need to shout to make an impression. I would not hesitate to add this watch to your collection today!

About Stowa

Stowa is a renowned German watchmaker known for its Bauhaus-style, pilot, and marine watches. The company was founded by Walter Storz in Hornberg, Germany, and the name "Stowa" is a combination of his last and first names (Storz Walter). In 1935, Stowa moved its headquarters to Pforzheim, a hub for watchmaking, to expand production. By 1939, it became one of only five original manufacturers selected to produce the legendary observation watches (Flieger/B-Uhr) for the German Luftwaffe. However, in 1945, the Pforzheim factory was destroyed in Allied bombing raids, forcing the company to relocate and rebuild in Rheinfelden, Germany. In 1996, independent watchmaker Jörg Schauer acquired Stowa, reviving the brand's historical archives and reissuing classic models. In 2021, Stowa joined Tempus Arte GmbH & Co. KG, aligning itself with prestigious luxury manufacturers such as Lang & Heyne.
