A 2025 Kollokium Projekt 01 Variant “E1” Yellow Seconds, one of just 409 pieces produced and a wonderfully unconventional expression of contemporary independent watchmaking. Its distinctive die-cast stainless steel case frames an extraordinary three-dimensional dial, constructed from 486 individually applied cylindrical markers of varying heights, creating an almost architectural, dystopian cityscape beneath the towering box sapphire crystal. The monochromatic design is brought to life by intricate Super-LumiNova detailing and a vibrant yellow seconds hand, while the Swiss La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement provides dependable mechanical performance beneath the extraordinary exterior. Complete with its original grey NATO strap, innovative die-cast fastening, presentation case and paperwork, this is a fascinating piece of modern watch design that challenges virtually every convention of the traditional wristwatch.

Scallop lugs hug the midcase for a distinctive profile; a lug-to-lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 12mm ensure a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side is a valve-shaped crown, and on the left side is an embossed abbreviated brand and model name. The watch's upper level features a box sapphire crystal that makes up almost half its height, giving a clear view of the dynamic dial. 486 hand-applied black PVD cylindrical markers in 6 varying heights and widths, with hand-painted Super-LumiNova tips, sit on a matte grey textured dial and blue Super-LumiNova dial base; this is a 3D reconstruction of a pixelated image created in Adobe Illustrator representing 12 maxi-size hour markers, creating a unique monochromatic dystopian cityscape. Grey superLumiNova outlined hands are complemented by a hook-shaped yellow sweeping second hand; on the reverse, a hex screwed-down case back with the watch details, housing an automatic La Joux-Perret Cal. G101, 24 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour; La Joux-Perret designed and manufactured this quality movement in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. This watch is sold with its original Kollokium box and paperwork, which is a plastic case with a written detail sticker attached.

Points of Mention

This watch comes with its original Kollokium box and paperwork: a plastic case with a detail sticker attached. It comes paired with its 20mm grey NATO strap secured by a die-cast steel hook fastening. The watch is from March 2025 and is sold in worn condition, but overall, it is in very fair condition, as you can see from the photographs. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

Personal Note

This is one of those watches that genuinely makes you wonder how on earth someone came up with the idea in the first place, let alone figured out how to manufacture it. The construction is absolutely fascinating, from the unusual die-cast case to that incredible dial made up of 486 individually applied markers at different heights. It creates this almost miniature cityscape beneath the enormous sapphire crystal, and the way it plays with light, shadow, and depth is unlike almost anything else I've seen. For me, this is independent watch design at its very best. Completely unconventional, wonderfully over-engineered, and genuinely unique in its execution. You certainly won't mistake it for anything else on the wrist. Add this awesome watch to your collection today!
