On the right side, a screw-down, deep-knurled crown sits between crown guards that are part of the case for added strength. A deep knurled 120-click unidirectional bezel features a black anodised aluminium 60-minute scale insert with a C3 Super-LumiNova triangle at 12. A flat sapphire crystal AR-coated on the inside sits above a vibrant yellow dial. An outer minute track surrounds the raised, black-outlined disc, with baton indexes coated in C3 Super-LumiNova, marking the hours. Matching black, outlined hands filled with the same lume are complemented by a rectangular, counterweighted, sweeping second hand. At noon, we have the ‘Hommes Grenouilles de Paris’ motif, complete with diver, and at 6 o’clock ‘200 meters Mechaquartz’ completes this distinctive dive tool watch. On the reverse, a screw-down solid case back is engraved with the watch's details around its edge, inside a MecaQuartz Seiko Cal. VH31, released in 2015, features a stepper motor for a smooth four beats per second rather than the usual one beat per second quartz. It comes paired with two quick-release 20mm H.G.P. straps and signed buckles. This watch is sold with its original H.G.P. box, travel case, key ring and paperwork.

About H.G.P.

H.G.P. started as a diving equipment store in Paris that operated from the 1970s to the 1990s. The name stands for "Hommes Grenouilles de Paris," which means "Frogmen of Paris." During its original run, H.G.P. teamed up with French watchmaker Georges Monnin to create special dive watches for their customers. In 2023, the brand was revived by the same entrepreneur who had previously reintroduced other brands like Wolbrook and Elgé. Today, H.G.P. is a small brand that focuses on making new dive watches in France, paying tribute to its original designs and often using the classic Monnin watch case. HGP is a member of France Horlogerie, the professional union of French watchmakers.
