Description

Here we have a curvaceous 2025 Dennison ALD Dual Time Aventurine w/ Black Sunray, designed by the creative mind behind the original AP Royal Oak Offshore, Emmanuel Gueit, who was inspired by the distinctive 1970s Dual Time watch dials such as the Piaget ref. 612773, which was designed by his father, Jean-Claude Gueit. Featuring a 35.5mm polished stainless steel Dennison rectangular-shaped case that comfortably sits on your wrist like a cushion, thanks to the hooded lugs. Its soft, rounded flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 36.5mm and a case thickness of just 6mm. On the right side, a recessed signed coin-edge crown and on the left side, a recessed signed coin-edged crown. A rounded-cornered sapphire crystal sits above an incredible, sterile, dark-blue Aventurine dial. Slight flake-shaped inclusions reflect light in a magical way known as "aventurescence." When you rotate your wrist, the dial shimmers from black to blue, giving you the impression of looking into the starry sky; this mined mineral makes each dial unique. The Dual Time features a recessed Black Sunray subdial with attractive steel hands. To its left, the stylised steel hands sit majestically on this spectacular, perfectly balanced traveller's companion dial. The Dennison motif is printed under the subdial. On the reverse, a solid case back is etched with a sunray pattern and the Dennison motif, and the watch's details are etched around its edge. Inside: Two Swiss Quartz Ronda Cal. 1032 movements. It comes paired with its 20mm quick-release leather strap and a signed pin buckle.

About Dennison

In 2010, the famous Dennison Trademark was once again registered in England. The company was originally founded by AARON LUFKIN DENNISON, who owned Waltham Watch Co. in the US. Later, he moved to Switzerland, where he helped found International Watch Co (IWC) in 1863. In 1871, he moved to England, where he founded Dennison, Wigley & Company to produce high-quality watch cases. In 1895, he passed away, leaving the company to his son Franklin, who established Dennison Watch Case Co. Ltd in 1905. Over the years, they have worked with many brands producing high-quality watch cases such as Rolex, Tudor, Omega, Longines, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Zenith, Smiths, J.W.Benson & Garrard. Famously worn by Sir Edmund Hilary when he successfully summited Everest in 1953, wearing a Smiths inside a Dennison Aquatite case. In 2015, fifty years after stopping production, they created their first watches and cases. To test their endurance, a British mountaineer, Jon Gupta, has been wearing a prototype of the DENC053 in the snowy Alps. He asked Dennison to engrave his blood group on the side of the watch in case of an emergency.
