This striking, high-tech timepiece features a 36mm Grade 2 titanium case, showcasing a futuristic, avant-garde tonneau silhouette that gives the watch a unique sporty aesthetic. The faceted case architecture features an intricate twelve-sided dodecagonal bezel and polished sandblasted side cutouts, offering a compact lug-to-lug length of 40mm and a bold, ultra-slim thickness of 9mm for a powerful, lightweight presence on the wrist. A signed screw-down crown. The standout feature of this specific model is its multi-level texturised dial dressed in a vibrant fumé Cosmic Blue hue that magically catches the light. Big silver hands are filled with premium Swiss Super-LumiNova Grade X1 BL C1 for sharp legibility in dark environments. Protecting this complex design is a flat sapphire crystal with multiple layers of interior anti-reflective coating. On the reverse, an exhibition sapphire caseback. Inside beats the proprietary Swiss-made automatic Calibre Sellita SW200-1 COSC Certified. This customised, 26-jewel mechanical calibre operates at a high-beat frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, featuring an elaborate-grade finish with a bespoke Christopher Ward colimaçoné rotor. The watch comes paired with an integrated 22mm bespoke titanium bracelet that tapers to a branded butterfly-clasp/link adjustment system.

Personal Note

The Twelve has become one of the best value propositions in the integrated sports watch world, and this particular 36mm titanium version might just be my favourite of the lot. The titanium construction makes it incredibly light and comfortable on the wrist, while the smaller case size gives it a versatility that many modern sports watches lack. Then there’s that Cosmic Blue dial, which is simply stunning. The texture adds plenty of depth, but it's the way the colour shifts and catches the light that really elevates the watch. When you consider the finishing, COSC-certified movement, titanium bracelet, and overall quality on offer, it’s difficult to think of many watches that deliver quite so much for the money. Snap this up and add it to your collection today!

About Christopher Ward

In 2005, Mike France, Peter Ellis, and Christopher Ward embarked on a pioneering venture by founding the world’s first online-only watch brand. Their journey began in an unassuming setting—a converted chicken shed located on a picturesque farm in Berkshire, England. With a vision to revolutionise the watch industry, the trio launched two initial models: the C5 Malvern Automatic and the C3 Malvern Chronograph. Shortly after the brand's debut, a significant turning point came when Dave Malone, a lecturer from Tasmania with a passion for horology, spotted an advertisement featuring their watch powered by an ETA 2824–2 automatic movement. Intrigued by the product, Malone decided to purchase one with the intention of writing a critical review for Timezone.com, one of the world’s largest online watch forums. However, contrary to his original plan, Malone's review turned out to be incredibly favourable, declaring the watch to be the “best value mechanical watch in the world.” This affirmation was a game-changer for Christopher Ward, leading to a substantial surge in sales and solidifying the brand's reputation within the watch community. Recognising the potential for growth and the need for innovation, Christopher Ward sought to enhance their offerings. In 2008, after garnering significant acclaim from industry experts and collectors alike, the company began collaborating with Synergies Horlogères, a Swiss watchmaking firm based in Biel, Switzerland. Owned by Jörg Bader, Synergies Horlogères shared Christopher Ward’s vision for creating intricately designed movements and exceptional timepieces. The collaboration marked the beginning of a rigorous period of research, design, and development. After years of hard work, the fruits of their labour were revealed in 2014 with the introduction of their groundbreaking in-house movement, Calibre SH21. This remarkable achievement was notable not only for its high-quality mechanical movement but also for being the first innovative and financially viable movement developed by a British watch brand in over half a century. The announcement sent ripples through the watch industry, further establishing Christopher Ward as a formidable player dedicated to redefining the standards of luxury and craftsmanship in horology.
