Here we have the 2020s Bvlgari Aluminium Automatic Chronograph BB40ATCH. Featuring a classic 40mm Aluminium case that comfortably sits on your wrist with an articulated integrated rubber strap and screwed lugs. Its curvaceous flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 11mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, black DLC-coated chronograph pushers and a coin-edged black DLC-coated titanium crown protected by crown guards. The wide black rubber bezel features the characteristic double-engraved Bvlgari motif surrounding a sapphire crystal above the dynamic off-white tricompax dial. An outer minute track with applied glossy black indexes and grey Super-LumiNova pips, and Arabic ‘12’ marks the hours. At 3 o’clock, a running seconds; at 4.30 a date window; at 6 o’clock a 12-hour register and finally at 9 o’clock a 30-minute register, each recessed in black with white markings, white stick hands and a textured concentric circular pattern. Glossy black hands are tipped with Super-LumiNova and complemented by a red-tipped chronograph hand. At noon, we have the Bvlgari motif, and ‘Aluminium ’ is printed underneath, completing this sporty tricompax timepiece. On the reverse, a black DLC-coated Titanium case back features the Bvlgari logos, inside an automatic Bvlgari Cal. B130, 37 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, it has a base of the ETA 2894. It comes paired with its 23mm integrated Bvlgari black rubber strap with articulated Aluminium links and a signed Aluminium pin buckle. The watch comes with its Bvlgari presentation box.

This is the now-discontinued 2020s Bvlgari Aluminium automatic chronograph, reference BB40ATCH, in 40mm compared to the latest 41mm model. It is truly a guilty pleasure of mine as it is a model that at first glance I really didn't like, but once on my wrist, I fell in love. The design, fit, and feel are perfect, and Bulgari know exactly what they are doing with this watch. I would seriously consider trying one of these on before you pass judgment, and like me, you just may fall in love with it!
