Here we have a 2024 Tudor Black Bay Chrono 'Watches of Switzerland' 79360N Limited to 100 pieces, making this one of the lowest limited editions Tudor has produced, celebrating their centenary. Watches of Switzerland has a rich history, evolving from a 1924 mail-order business to a leading luxury watch retailer in the UK and US, now part of The Watches of Switzerland Group. The group's history extends back further through its subsidiaries, Mappin & Webb and Goldsmiths, with Mappin & Webb's roots in a 1775 silver workshop and Goldsmiths' beginnings in 1778. The company has grown through acquisitions and ownership changes, eventually rebranding as the Watches of Switzerland Group and launching on the London Stock Exchange in 2019. Featuring a 41mm satin brushed and polished stainless steel case that curves over your wrist with tapered lugs. A polished chamfered-edge flows across the case and leads to a comfortable lug-to-lug length of 50mm and a case thickness of 14mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. We have the screw-down pushers down the right side and a signed screw-down crown in the centre, reminiscent of the early Tudor chronographs. A fixed stainless steel bezel features an anodised aluminium insert that is precisely marked with a Tachymeter Units Per Hour scale, which measures speed or calculates quantities per hour based on elapsed time. A domed sapphire crystal above a striking Opaline bicompax dial. An outer minute track precisely executed surrounds applied disc and inverted triangle indexes filled with Super-LumiNova marking the hours; at 3 o’clock, a recessed 45-minute register, at 6 o’clock, a colour-matched date window and finally, at 9 o’clock a small seconds register, each black register has white markings and a white hand, a red arrow pointed chronograph hand complements the characteristic Snowflake hands, coated in the same luminescence, and at 12 o’clock we have the Tudor motif and at 6 o’clock ‘Watches of Switzerland’. On the reverse, a solid screw-down case back, Watches of Switzerland 1924- 2024 1 of 100. Inside an automatic Tudor Cal. MT5813, 41 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour; this column wheel chronograph is based on the Breitling B01 movement and is COSC Certified. It comes paired with its original Tudor 22mm brushed and polished stainless steel simulated rivet style bracelet that is, in fact, secured with screws, a signed deployment safety clamshell lock, and all links provided. This watch is sold with its Tudor box, swing tag, bezel protector and paperwork.
