Here we have a 2024 Paulin Modul D Quartz Exhibition Back with its 35mm brushed and polished stainless steel Modul tonneau-shaped case, so named due to its four hex screwed-in black steel “modular construction” made to house a variety of movement sizes. The gentle curve of its flanks leads to flat-ended lugs with a lug-to-lug length of 40mm and a case thickness of 8mm, ensuring a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side is a signed coin-edged crown. The stepped bezel holds a domed crystal sitting above a matte black dial. The distinctive hand-painted numerals are a typeface called Wim, named after Wim Crouwel, a Dutch graphic artist inspired by the modernist movement; surrounding yellow baton indexes marking the hours, the unique handset consists of a thick blue hour hand, a skeletonised white minute hand and a red second hand; along the bottom edge, we have Paulin Glasgow completing this colourful, sophisticated contemporary timepiece. On the reverse, the exhibition case back with the details of the watch engraved around its edge, inside a Quartz ETA 955.112 movement. It comes paired with its 18mm strap and signed pin buckle, and it comes with its Paulin presentation box.
