The Watch

Here we have an innovative 2024 Kollokium Projekt 01 - Variant "B" Automatic with an industrial organic design. It has a 40mm two-part Die-cast 316L stainless steel case in a granular textured matte finish, made in a small batch of 199 pieces, they quickly sold out on their website. Scallop lugs hug the midcase case for a distinctive profile; a lug-to-lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 12mm ensure a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side is a valve-shaped crown, and on the left side is an embossed abbreviated brand and model name. The upper level of the watch is a box sapphire crystal, making up almost half of the watch's height, giving a perfect view of this incredible dynamic dial. 486 hand-applied sandblasted cylindrical markers of 6 varying heights and widths, hand-painted tips of SuperLumiNova sit on a matte black textured dial; this is a 3D reconstruction of a pixelated image created in Adobe Illustrator representing 12 maxi-size hour markers, creating a unique monochromatic dystopian cityscape. White outlined hands are complemented by a hook-shaped white sweeping second hand; on the reverse, a hex screwed-down case back with the details of the watch, inside an automatic La Joux-Perret Cal. G101, 24 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, this quality movement is designed and manufactured by La Joux-Perret in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The watch comes paired on a 20mm black NATO strap secured by a die-cast steel hook fastening.

Personal Note

When this watch was first announced I was immediately impressed and the photos looked great, but I did wonder what it would truly be like in the metal and on my wrist. I can safely say I am blown away, this watch is incredible and Kollokium has done a fantastic job of creating something unique that stands out among the crowd in the right way. I would not hesitate to add this to your collection if you are after something different and unique!
