The Watch
Here is a 2023 Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Meteorite ZO9293 Limited Edition of 182 pieces. It's a 40mm black DLC-plated case that curves over your wrist with steeply angled lugs. The watch's curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 48.5mm and a case thickness of 13.5mm, giving it an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, there is a signed crown with deep knurling for grip. The unidirectional black DLC-plated bezel has a glossy grey ceramic 60-minute dive insert that resembles the Bakelite bezels used in the past. Its flat sapphire crystal sits slightly above the bezel, protecting a stunning grey Meteorite dial with its unique reflective pattern that plays with the light as you rotate your wrist. A blue outer minute chapter ring surrounds applied black outlined Super-LumiNova filled indexes marking the hours; the black hour hand and blue minute hand are complemented by a white counterweighted second hand; at 12 o’clock, we have the applied Zodiac motif “Super Sea Wolf” and at 6 o’clock “Automatic 200M/660FT” completes this space infused limited edition dive watch. On the reverse, a screw-down solid black DLC-plated case back with the details of the watch around its edge and the embossed Zodiac motif in the centre, inside an automatic STP Cal. 1-11, 26 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour. This movement is based on either the ETA 2824-2 or Sellita SW200-1, with hacking seconds for your convenience. It comes paired with its original 20mm Zodiac black DLC-plated stainless steel Jubilee bracelet secured by a push-button deployant clasp; all links are provided. The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf is a fantastic watch steeped in history and brought into the modern era with modern build quality, and this reference ZO9293 is the quintessential modern iteration of a vintage classic.
