Here is a 2023 Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Compression Diver ZO9304, nicknamed the ‘Gulf’ from the motor racing world, Gulf Motor Oil, due to its distinctive colour way. Featuring a 40mm brushed stainless steel case that curves over your wrist with steeply angled flat-ended lugs. The brushed curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 48.5mm and a case thickness of 13mm, giving it an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, a signed screw-down crown features deep knurling for enhanced grip. The unidirectional bezel features a glossy, sapphire-protected blue-and-orange 60-minute dive insert that resembles the Bakelite bezels used in the past. Its flat sapphire crystal sits slightly above the bezel, protecting a stunning sunburst silver dial. An orange outer minute chapter ring surrounds applied orange outlined Super-LumiNova filled indexes marking the hours; the steel hour hand and orange minute hand are complemented by a steel counterweighted second hand; at 12 o’clock, we have the applied Zodiac motif ‘Super Sea Wolf’, and at 6 o’clock, ‘Automatic 200M/660FT' completes this colourful dive watch. On the reverse, a screw-down solid case back with the details of the watch around its edge and the embossed Zodiac motif in the centre, inside an automatic STP Cal. 1-11, 26 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour.
