The Watch
Here we have a 2023 Tissot PRX Ice Blue Quartz T137.210.11.351.00 with a 35mm stainless steel tonneau-shaped case that is clearly inspired by the Gerald Genta creations of the late 1970s. The lines of the case flow effortlessly over your wrist with the comfort of an integrated bracelet, and a lug-to-lug length of 44mm and a case thickness of just 10mm enforce this fact. On the right side, is a signed crown. The stepped smooth polished bezel holds the flat sapphire crystal AR coated that sits above a sunburst Ice Blue dial. Applied steel polished baton indexes play with the light as you rotate your wrist. At 3 o’clock a date window. The long steel baton hands are filled in Super-LumiNova and complimented by a tapered second-hand. At 12 o’clock “TISSOT” and at 6 o’clock “PRX”. On the reverse, a screw-down case back, inside a Quartz ETA F05.115. The watch is fitted on its original 23.5mm integrated stainless steel bracelet with quick release and a push-button butterfly clasp, all links are provided and the watch also comes with its TISSOT presentation box and paperwork.
Personal Note
The Tissot PRX has been Tissots biggest success in some years and we can all see why! The design, build quality and price are undeniably great, so once pre-owned and even better priced like this one its hard to ignore!
The Brand
The Swiss luxury watch company Tissot from Le Locle, Switzerland, was established in 1853 by Charles Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile. Under Charles-Emile’s direction, they manufactured pocket watches with parts from Russia and the United States. In 1915, the company began producing wristwatches. Between 1920 and 1977, Tissot produced its movements. In 1930 to survive the 1929 crash and economic crisis they agreed with Omega to form the SSIH Group which 53 years later became the Swatch Group.
