Here we have a rarely seen 2023 Rolex Datejust Two-Tone Fluted Motif Dial 126233 featuring a curvaceous 36mm 904L OysterSteel and 18ct Yellow Gold case that curves over your wrist, complete with tapered lugs. The polished and brushed surfaces transition with crisp edges. This combination of Steel and Gold is called Rolesor, derived from the brand's name and “Or,” which is French for gold. Rolex patented Rolesor as early as 1933. The Rolex Explorer was developed over a period of 20 years, beginning in the 1930s, in extreme environments. The goal of the watch was to create the perfect mountaineer's tool, keeping the perfect time at -50°C (-58°F) with 70% less oxygen than at sea level. A lug-to-lug length of 43mm and a thickness of 11.5mm ensure a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, a Twinlock double sealing system is featured for the screw-down crown. A fluted 18ct yellow gold Oyster bezel holds a flat, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal above a stunning champagne motif dial with an attractive repeating pattern that reflects the classic fluted bezel, which magically catches the light as you rotate your wrist. The applied baton indexes are filled with Chromalight, marking the hours. At 3 o’clock, a date window sits underneath a cyclops magnification. 18ct Yellow gold hands are complemented by a tapered, sweeping second hand. The text is precisely printed with the applied yellow gold Rolex crown at ‘12’, ‘Oyster Perpetual DateJust’, and ’Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified’ printed at 6 o’clock, completing this versatile dress watch. On the reverse, a coin-edged screw-down case back houses an Automatic Rolex Cal. 3235, considered a highly accurate automatic movement with Chronometer Certification of -2/+2 seconds per day, 31 jewels, and a beat rate of 28,800 BPH. It has a quick-set date and hacking seconds, fitted with the new Chronergy escapement and Parachrom hairspring. It comes paired with its original 20mm Rolex Oystersteel and 18ct yellow gold Jubilee bracelet secured by a signed Oysterclasp and 5mm dive extension, complete with all links. The watch comes with its Rolex presentation box, swing tags and papers.
