Here we have a 2023 Paulin Neo B Orange Dial with Date Automatic; the brushed 316L stainless steel case curves with tapered drilled lugs over your wrist, and a lug-to-lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 12mm ensures a comfortable fit. On the right side is a signed crown, and the stepped smooth bezel holds a box-shaped Hesalite crystal above a striking laser-cut Anodised Aluminium grain textured dial hand-dyed vibrant orange, making each dial unique; each dial is produced by AnOrdain in the UK, which is owned by Charlotte Paulin's husband, Lewis Heath. The distinctive hand-printed numerals are a typeface called Wim, named after Wim Crouwel, a Dutch graphic artist inspired by the modernist movement; surrounding blue batons marking the hours, at 3 o’clock a date window, the unique handset consists of a thick black hour hand, a skeletonised grey minute hand and a white second hand; along the bottom edge, we have Paulin Glasgow completing this colourful, sophisticated contemporary timepiece. On the reverse the exhibition case back, with the details of the watch engraved around its edge, inside an automatic Seiko Cal. NH35A, 24 jewels, beating at 21,600 beats per hour, this workhorse movement has hand winding and hacking seconds for your convenience. The watch comes paired with its 18mm black leather strap and stylised signed pin buckle. The watch comes with a Paulin presentation box, swing tag, and paperwork.

Paulin was founded by the Paulin sisters in 2013, based in Great Western Road, Glasgow, where they have their workshop, office, studio and shop. They started out by designing and assembling high-quality, design-focused watches, sourcing parts from around the world, including Miyota and Seiko movements, and, where possible, using British manufacturers. This then led to the creation of a wall clock and floor lamp, which expanded into leather goods. The business has expanded to Stockbridge, Edinburgh, where they have a space for local artists to show off their creations.
