Here we have a 2023 Norqain Freedom 60 Chronograph 40mm Sky Blue Reference N2201.19S01.A03.S01 limited to 300 pieces with a 40mm 316L stainless steel case that features a beautiful blend of polished and satin-brushed finishes; its vintage-inspired architecture leads to a highly wearable lug-to-lug length of 48.5mm and a case thickness of 15mm, giving the watch a substantial yet balanced wrist presence. On the left side is the Norqain nameplate. A fixed, sharply sloping, polished smooth bezel frames the face, flanked by a bold set of classic piston chronograph pushers and a knurled screw-down crown. The old-school, box-type domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating protects a striking sunray sky-blue dial with an outer tachymeter scale and recessed dark blue sub-dials. Diamond-cut flat baton indexes are applied and filled with Old Radium Super-LumiNova for a perfect vintage-inspired contrast, mirrored by the diamond-cut faceted hour and minute hands. The distinct Norqain motif sits proudly below 12 o’clock, while a colour-matched date window nestled cleanly between 4 and 5 o’clock completes this highly functional 1960s-styled sports companion. Inside, we have the COSC-certified automatic Norqain Calibre N19 (built on a reliable Sellita SW510 base), featuring 27 jewels and 28,800 vibrations per hour. NORQAIN was founded in 2018 by Ben Küffer. He has over 45 years of experience in manufacturing and ownership of Swiss luxury watches. Ted Schneider, whose family name owned Breitling for almost 40 years, and Swiss ice hockey legend Mark Streit came on board as Co-Founders and Board members. Based in Nidau (Bienne), Switzerland, close to the Swiss watch industry. Jean-Claude Biver is an advisor to the board, bringing many years of experience and a track record of innovation to this young brand. Their motif features a mirrored “N” end-to-end, reflecting the mountains of the Swiss Alps. In 2020, they signed a long-term partnership with movement manufacturer Kenissi, which TUDOR owns.
