2023 Isotope HydriumX "Exit" Green Limited to 100

The Watch

Here we have a 2023 Isotope HydriumX "Exit" Green Limited to 100 pieces inspired by a building's life-saving Exit sign, seen and ignored by many of us on a daily basis. The 40mm micro-blasted stainless steel case curves over your wrist with stubby flat-ended lugs, and a lug-to-lug length of 47.5mm and a case thickness of 14.5mm ensure a comfortable fit. On the right side is a deeply knurled screw-down crown. A 120-click unidirectional bezel has deep knurling for extra grip and a green sterile insert with the Isotope pip at 12 o’clock holding a double domed sapphire crystal above a fully Super-LumiNova lumed off-white dial. Green Arabic numerals mark the hours surrounding an inner minute track and Isotope Lacrima hands in two tones of green with the fun rotating Isotope Lacrima mark in the shape of the exit arrow on top. At 12 o’clock we have the Isotope motif and at 6 o’clock HydriumX, an embossed man exiting a door, “Automatic 1000ft” completes this highly visible tool watch. On the reverse a screw-down exhibition case back showcasing an automatic Landeron Cal. 24, 25 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, the movement is expertly decorated Côtes de Genève and Perlage. The watch comes fitted on a 22mm quick-release black with green stitching leather strap with a micro-blasted stainless steel signed buckle and the watch comes with its Isotope presentation box and paperwork.

José and Joana Miranda founded Isotope in 2016 based in England their brand name is derived from a scientific name for radioelements with unique half-lives found by radiochemist Frederick Soddy its meaning is "coming from the same place" in Greek. The word Isotope was suggested by a  close friend of his wife Dr. Margaret Todd at a dinner party in Glasgow in 1913, and was first published in "Nature" in 1913, he was later in 1921 awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. They produce uniquely designed timepieces using traditional techniques such as enamelling and thermal heating metals.
