Here we have the 2023 Brew x Worn & Wound Metric Chrono Regulator in Sky Blue, their second collaboration, Limited to 200 pieces. Worn & Wound is a company based in Brooklyn that caters to watch lovers. Since its founding in 2011 by Blake Malin and Zach Weiss, the goal has been to make collecting watches easier and more enjoyable for everyone. They focus on offering good-quality watches that are affordable, making it simple for people to find and appreciate timepieces without breaking the bank. They also run a website, sell watches online, and organise events for watch enthusiasts. Featuring a 36mm square cushion 316L stainless steel case, its flowing flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 41mm and a case thickness of 11mm, ensuring a comfortable fit, polished and brushed surfaces transition with crisp edges. The case flows over your wrist towards the integrated bracelet; the soft, rounded edges evoke the watch designs from the 1970s. On the right side, we have the chronograph pushers in sky blue and stainless steel, a signed crown in the centre. The bevel-edged, stepped, and smooth bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal above a sky blue, concentric, circular-patterned Regulator dial. An outer 60-minute scale in magenta surrounds a precisely executed blue minute track. Lume pips and applied double baton indexes, infilled with Super-LumiNova, mark the hours, between 2 and 3; a 24-hour DAY/NIGHT register allows you to read the dial like a regulator, since Brew has removed the central hour hand. At 6 o’clock, a running seconds register, recessed between the 9 and 10, and a 60-minute totaliser register, each recessed with red markings and featuring magenta and blue hands. The long baton minute hand is filled with Super-LumiNova and tipped in magenta, complemented by a white and blue, magenta-tipped chronograph hand. The blend of funky colours, textures and offset registers makes this watch stand out from the crowd. At 12 o’clock, a debossed Brew motif is featured. On the reverse, a screwed-down case back with horizontal patterning and the Brew motif embossed in the centre, inside a Hybrid VK68 Meca-Quartz made by Seiko Instruments, part of the hybrid mechanical quartz (meca quartz) movement line, it is a chronograph movement that uses quartz technology for the main operation and functions of the watch and a mechanical module for operating the chronograph, it gives you the snapback of a mechanical chronograph and the accuracy of quartz. The watch comes paired with its Brew 20mm integrated stainless steel bracelet, featuring brushed and polished bevel edges, secured by a push-button signed folding clasp. All links are provided, and it comes with its Brew presentation box, travel case, and papers.
