Here we have a 2023 Bremont GMT Chronograph Mr Porter Limited Edition. ALT1-ZT-BL. This limited Edition of 17/30 pieces is in collaboration with Mr Porter, offering a stunning selection of men's wear, shoes, accessories, and home & tech essentials. Featuring a 43mm case made from hardened, brushed stainless steel with Bremont's innovative Trip-Tick construction, its case has a rubber sandwich construction, making it resistant to extreme external conditions, and is coated in scratch-resistant black DLC. Its curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 50.5mm and a case thickness of 16mm, giving the watch an impressive presence on the wrist. Down the right side, low chronograph pushers and a signed, deeply knurled crown in the centre and at 8 o’clock on the left side, a deeply knurled crown to adjust the inner bezel. A chamfered-edged brushed smooth bezel holds a domed Sapphire crystal above a dark blue dial. An inner Roto-Click 24-hour chapter ring surrounds applied indexes filled with Super-LumiNova, marking the hours. At 3 o’clock, a framed colour-matched date window; at 12 o’clock a recessed silver 30-minute register; at 6 o’clock a silver 12-hour register, each with a lume-filled sword hand, and finally at 9 o’clock a silver running seconds register with a red filled sword hand.  Black outlined sword hands filled with Super LumiNova are complemented by a white and red lollipop chronograph hand and a black coated GMT red arrow hand, making timekeeping direct and straightforward. At 3 o’clock, we have the Bremont motif and ‘Chronometer ‘ printed underneath, completing this striking traveller's companion. The screwed-down exhibition case back is nicely engraved with the details of the watch and the number out of 30, which ours is number 017, inside an automatic Bremont Cal. BE-54AE, a modified ETA 7754, is COSC Certified, featuring 25 jewels and beating at 28,800 beats per hour. The skeletonised rotor features machined pistons and blued screws. It comes paired with a 22mm Bremont brushed stainless steel bracelet secured by a signed push-button deployant clasp; all links are provided. Bremont was founded in 2002 by the brother's Nick and Giles English. Their watch designs are inspired by their love of flying and everything mechanical. During the 1990s, while flying their 1930s biplane over France, they got into trouble and had to land in a field. Not wishing to get the authorities involved, they were met by the farm owner, who gave them and the plane shelter. It turned out he had flown during the war and was an engineer. The brothers, grateful to the kind farmer, promised him they would never forget him; his name was Antoine Bremont. In 1995, they were involved in an accident and sadly lost their father, Dr Euan English, while flying their World War II-vintage Harvard aircraft. His loss and their injuries drove the brothers to create a fitting legacy. Moving into their Manufacturing & Technology Centre in 2021. Innovation and producing technologically advanced timepieces have been an ever-expanding experience for Bremont. Their military connections through special edition watches and tireless work with Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion mean their late fathers' legacy will continue to grow. They have a number of investors, including Bill Ackman and Hellcat LP, who increased their investment since 2023. Nicholas English has remained as Secretary after resigning as Director, while his brother, Giles, resigned as Director in May 2024 and left the company.
