Here we have a 2023 Beaubleu Ecce Vesperal Automatic on a bracelet featuring a 39mm stainless steel case sculpted from a solid block of this hard-wearing metal and a flowing integrated mesh stainless steel bracelet. Its curvaceous, brushed flanks are hollowed with a polished midsection for a distinctive profile that leads to brushed and polished curved lugs. A lug-to-lug length of 45mm and a case thickness of just 9.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, there is a signed, deep knurled crown. The smooth bezel features a mirror-polished chamfered edge and a vertically brushed top surface. A flat sapphire crystal, AR-coated, sits above a striking vertically brushed silver sandwich dial, featuring attractive 12 polished rings and a blue date window with contrasting white numerals at 6 o’clock. Printed black stencil-style numerals mark the hours; polished steel circular hour and minute hands are complemented by a large orbiting circular blue second hand, creating a unique way to tell time. At noon, we have the Beaubleu motif, and at 6 o’clock, ‘Automatique’ completes this incredible dial. On the reverse, a screwed-down exhibition case back featuring the watch details in relief around its edge, inside an automatic Miyota Cal. 9015, 24 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour.
