The Watch

Here we have a 2022 Timex Expedition North Automatic with a tough 41mm Titanium case that curves over your wrist with tapered lugs, a lug-to-lug length of 49.5mm and a case thickness of 13mm giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side a signed screw-down crown protected by crown guards. The smooth bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal above a textured black dial, and an outer minute track surrounds Arabic numerals coated in Super-LumiNova at 3 o’clock we have a date window, signature baton hands are coated in the same luminance complemented by a tapered second hand. At 12 o’clock we have the Timex Exhibition North motif and at 6 o’clock “Titanium 200m/660ft” printed in white completes this rugged explorer's companion. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back with the “Expedition North” printed in black, inside an Automatic Miyota. The watch comes fitted on a new revolutionary 20mm water-saving Ecco DriTan quick-release leather strap and the watch comes with its Timex box.

The Brand

Thomas Olsen purchased the Waterbury Clock Company founded in 1854. In 1941 they renamed the company Timex. Its headquarters can be found in Middlebury, Connecticut, USA. In 1933 we saw the Mickey Mouse watch’s introduction, which sold an incredible 2 million watches to children worldwide. In 1972 Timex released its first quartz watch, the Q-Timex. Another historic landmark for Timex in 1984 saw the introduction of the world's first quartz sports watch, the Ironman.
