Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Norqain box (The inner box comes out quite easily) and paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Norqain signed bracelet with all links included. The watch is from July 2022 and is sold in worn condition, overall very fair condition as you can see. The watch comes with its original Manufacturer's Warranty.

The Watch

Here we have a 2022 Norqain Neverest Glacier with a 40mm satin-brushed and polished stainless steel case, part of the Adventure collection it has elements that inspire the intrepid explorer with its rugged aesthetic and their partnership with the Butterfly Help Project gave 10% of the watch's earnings from the initial sale to help families of Sherpas who lost their lives climbing in the Himalayas. A bevelled edge leads the eye toward the tapered lugs, a lug-to-lug of 48.5mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, is a signed screw-down crown protected by crown guards and on the left side, we have a screwed-in polished plaque with “Neverest” engraved into it. The unidirectional bezel has deep knurling for extra grip and a grey ceramic dive insert supporting a sapphire crystal AR coated on both sides for excellent viewing angles, a dynamic glacier-textured white dial inspired by the Everest Khumbu Icefall, an outer minute track precisely executed with applied facet-edged baton indexes infilled with X1 Superluminova marking the hours. Sword's hands infilled with X1 Superluminova complemented by a red arrow tipped sweeping second hand. At 12 o’clock we have the NORQAIN motif and at 6 o’clock a red “Chronometer” with 200m/660ft printed underneath completes this exciting adventure-inspired timepiece. On the reverse a screw-down exhibition case back, inside an automatic Norqain Manufacture Cal. NN20/1 is made in partnership with Kenissi, 27 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour, COSC Certified with hand winding and hacking for your convenience, the rotor has the golden mirrored “N” logo applied to it. Kenissi is named after the ancient Greek Kenesis meaning movement, owned by Tudor who in 2016 decided to develop and manufacture their own self-winding calibre under the name Kenissi launching the first in collaboration with Breitling and later with Chanel. They are produced and developed in their factory in Le Locle Switzerland. The watch comes fitted with a 20mm stainless steel bracelet with a folding security clasp and the watch comes with its Norqain presentation box and paperwork.

Personal Note

This is our first Norqain in stock and I am incredibly imprest, the attention to detail and build quality have blown me away, especially for what they are asking at retail, so when pre-owned like this one, it is a clear no-brainer! I do find it incredible they have their own manufacture movement, but for me, if everything else didn't add up too it would be a pointless achievement, thankfully Norqain didn't disappoint.

The Brand

NORQAIN was founded in 2018 by Ben Küffer. He has over 45 years of experience in manufacturing and ownership of Swiss luxury watches. Ted Schneider, whose family name owned Breitling for almost 40 years, and Swiss ice hockey legend  Mark Streit, came on board as Co-Founders and Board members. Based in Nidau (Bienne) Switzerland close to the Swiss watch industry. Jean-Claude Biver is an advisor to the board bringing with him many years of knowledge and innovation to this young brand. Their motif carries the symbolism of a mirrored “N” end to end in the shape of the mountains found in the Swiss Alps. In 2020 they signed a  long-term partnership with movement manufacturer Kenissi which is owned by TUDOR.
