The Maurice Lacroix brand was launched in 1975 by Desco von Schulthess in Zurich. Desco, founded in 1889 are better known for their Silk trade business. They branched out in the luxury watch market in 1946 representing brands including Heuer and Jaeger-LeCoultre. Desco was integrated into the DKSH Group in 2008 when the group took over the majority shareholding of Maurice Lacroix and its watch manufacturing facility in Canton Jura.
