This watch is sold with its original Marloe box and paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original 20mm rubber strap. The watch is from July 2022 and is sold in worn condition, but worn a handful of times at most. The watch comes with its original Manufacturer's Warranty.

The Watch

In 2015, while changing a quartz battery, they were shocked and felt a little short-changed with the lack of a full movement encased in their watch. Oliver & Gordon were inspired to create a much better design, bringing together their experience in a much slower-living counter-culture, and the craftsmanship of a mechanical movement. In a very short amount of time, the Marloe Watch Company was born.

Here we have a 2022 Marloe Astro Futura limited to 300 pieces with a 38mm rounded corner squircle (square circle) stainless steel case, inspired by the shape of many TV sets used by millions of people who watched the mesmerising first man on the moon landing in 1969. Brushed bevelled sides transitions with polished surfaces create a unique case profile, 38mm lug-to-lug length and a case thickness of 10mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, we have a signed custom-designed Soyuz capsule crown with deep knurling for extra grip, a flat sapphire crystal AR coated on both sides sits above a multi-layered white dial. Its geometric patterned honeycomb texture reminds us of the iconic film "2001 Space Odyssey" made by Stanley Kubrick in 1968 with its dramatic pentagonal tunnel design and stark white interiors. Four crosses under printed on the crystal in each corner add interest with a circular multi-layered textured dial and an outer ring of Roman numeral indices with the number 11 highlighted in orange a nod to the Apollo 11 moon landing. The blue minute track is precisely printed around a lower layer with applied baton indexes marking the hours, thick chamfered baton hands with luminance segments complemented by a lollipop counterweighted orange-tipped seconds hand. At 12 o’clock we have the Marloe motif under two lumed dots completing this striking timepiece. On the reverse a screwed-down exhibition case back with the number out of 300 engraved into its edge, inside an Automatic Miyota 9039 24 Jewels 28,800 Beats per hour, the movement has hacking and hand winding for your convenience. The watch comes fitted on its 20mm rubber strap with a signed buckle and the watch comes with its Marloe presentation box and paperwork.

Personal Note

I absolutely love this watch and purchased it for myself, unfortunately, since purchasing the Tudor Ranger I find very little else makes it to my wrist, so this watch has been worn a handful of times at most! I'd highly recommend picking this watch up if you are into watches with a story and that are different to what you see daily!
