Personal Note

There is no denying that we are entering an era of watchmaking focused heavily on interesting design and why wouldn't that be the gateway for brands like Hermès to show other brands how it is done? This wonderful H08 Deep Blue Titanium is the perfect example of a brand standing out with a bold design, one that works beautifully on and off the wrist, whilst still providing an incredible package when it comes to the actual watchmaking nuts and bolts! The future is exciting for the watch world!

The Brand

The luxury brand Hermès was founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermès opening a workshop in rue Basse-du-Rempart, Paris, France. Initially selling luxury accessories, equipment and jewellery to the Equestrian world. In 1912 he built his first watch as a present for his son Emile Hermès’ daughter, it wasn’t until 1928 that they produced their first commercial watches with the help of Movado. In 1978 they moved “La Montre Hermès” “The Hermès Watch” division to Biel, Switzerland. They are part of the prestigious Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie and are still majority family-owned through their holding company H51 and the Arnault family who own LVMH owns 20%.
