Here we have the beautiful 2022 Fears Brunswick Platinum Anthracite Grey Diamond dial. Taking up to 4 months to complete, the case and the solid case back each bear hallmarks from the London Assay Office. Each piece has a unique serial number engraved between the lugs at 12 o’clock. This number can identify the watch's history from its master database. The inspiration for this watch comes from a Fears watch originally made in 1924. Its wonderfully curvaceous 38mm cushion case is made from almost 100g of solid Platinum (950/1000 purity). Sitting comfortably on your wrist, thanks to its short, straight lugs, its curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 43mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm, ensuring a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, there is a traditional “onion” crown made of solid platinum, into which a D-colour, flawless diamond is set. A domed sapphire crystal sits above an incredible Anthracite Grey. The natural colour of a coating of real Anthracite combines with three surface finishes to result in a dial that changes in the light, giving a two-tone effect. This striking dial is complemented by the concentric circle finishing on the sunken sub-seconds, at 6 o’clock. The numerals are applied to the dial by hand, platinum-plated with alternating D-colour flawless diamonds. Inspired by the many different typefaces Fears has used throughout its history. Each set of hands has Platinum plating and bevelled edges. At noon, we have the Fears motif completing this very distinctive dress watch. On the reverse, a screwed-down case back with vertical brushing. Inside, we have a manually wound LJP Cal. D100, 18 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour. This movement is based on the Peseux 7001. La Joux-Perret is part of the Citizen Group. It comes paired with three 20mm Fears straps and signed pin buckles, including a Platinum pin buckle. The Brunswick Pt is presented in an impressive wooden box with a locking key and includes Fear's paperwork.
