2022 Baltic MR01 Salmon Dial Automatic Micro-Rotor 36mm

Here we have a 2022 Baltic MR01 Salmon Dial Automatic Micro-Rotor. The 36mm brushed and polished stainless steel case gently curves over your wrist with elegant sweeping drilled lugs, its horizontally brushed flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 44mm and a case thickness of 10mm to ensure a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side is a push/pull crown. A polished stepped smooth bezel holds a high domed Hesalite crystal above a distinctive MR Classic Salmon dial that has a grainy texture with an outer circular brushed minute railtrack precisely executed. Applied polished Breguet indexes shimmer in the light as you rotate your wrist, marking the hours. Off-centred at 7, we have a sub-second dial with guilloche finishing. Elegant, polished leaf hands complete this sophisticated dial. On the reverse, a screwed-down exhibition case back is secured with six screws and inside an automatic Hangzhou ELA05MN, 30 jewels, beating 28,800 beats per hour, Hangzhou is a direct competitor to SEAGULL whose movement can be found in the Baltic BI-Compax chronographs, the micro-rotor sits inside the movement making it much thinner, decorated with circular Côtes de Genève, perlage just under the rotor, and blue-coloured screws, this attractive watch is appealing on both sides with Baltic’s attention to detail is inspiring. It comes paired with a 20mm Baltic blue Italian leather strap, drilled lug holes make for easy strap changing and comes with its Baltic presentation box and papers.

This watch is sold with its original Baltic box and papers. The watch comes paired with its original 20mm blue Baltic-signed calf leather strap with its signed Baltic buckle. The watch is from July 2022 and is sold in worn condition, but overall in very fair condition, as you can see from the photographs. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

I have bought and sold many Baltic MR01s over the years, and surprisingly, just a handful have ever made it to the website; almost all sell before they get a chance. I thought this would be the first Salmon MR01 to hit the website, but it was solid just prior to the listing, and therefore, it'll appear only as sold. Ettiene Malec, a Frenchman, founded Baltic in 2017. The name comes from his father’s birthplace in northern Poland near the Baltic Sea. His inspiration came after finding a suitcase full of his late father's watches with a notebook full of details about the watches. He soon after started to meet other collectors and started to collect himself. Then, seeing the huge interest in vintage timepieces, he completed a Kickstarter campaign with the Baltic HMS 001 and a Bi-Compax 001. Each watch is assembled in France near Besançon.
