This watch is sold with its original Unimatic box and paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Unimatic 22mm strap with an additional strap in the box. The watch is from Circa. 2021 and is sold in worn condition. Overall, however, the watch is in very good condition as you can see from the photos. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

Made in Italy Unimatic was founded by Giovanni Moro and Simone Nunziato, who were both trained as industrial designers at “Politecnico di Milano” where they shared a common interest and passion for wristwatches. They started Unimatic in 2015 with their first product “Modello Uno”. Each piece is unique and hand-manufactured in Milano, Italy.

Here we have a collaboration between Unimatic and Hodinkee producing a Limited Edition of 500 pieces. Designed and envisioned by Hodinkee in appreciation of the unique Unimatic styling. This Modello Due is their interpretation of a modern field watch. The 41mm brushed stainless steel tonneau case curves in all the right places. A lug to lug length of 49mm and a thickness of 13mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, is a signed screw-down crown with deep knurling for extra grip. The smooth raised bezel holds a  sapphire crystal AR coated above a distinctive Hodinkee grey California dial. An outer minute track, large Roman and Arabic numeral indexes lume filled with Super-LumiNova C1 White mark the hours. Broad phantom ladder hands filled with the same Super-LumiNova C1 White lume and a grey reverse lollipop second hand with a white tip. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with deep military-style bulls-eye engraving celebrating the collaboration and its number out of 500. Inside an Automatic Sellita SW200-1, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The watch comes with a black two-piece Cordura 22mm strap and a two-piece nylon 22mm strap both with a signed buckle and also comes with its Unimatic tough case and papers.

Personal Note

It's great to see Hodinkee partnering with brands and not just doing a fancy colour change but actually making improvements, for example, this U2-H features a Sellita which is a nice step up and not a huge price up for the improvement! Plus the unique case shape of the U2 really does make a statement on the wrist, it's one you'll either be a big fan of or not!
