The Watch
Here we have a 2021 Unimatic U2-F RAF Grey Limited to 500 with a 37.5mm satin-brushed stainless steel case that has a distinctive upward curve towards the flat-ended drilled lugs, a lug-to-lug length of 47.5mm and a case thickness of 15mm give the watch an impressive unconventional wrist presence that is surprisingly comfortable. On the right side is a screw-down crown with knurling for extra grip. The bevel-edged smooth bezel holds a 2.7mm thick double-domed sapphire crystal AR coated on the inside, a matte-finished RAF Grey dial has an outer minute track in grey paint, large discs, and baton indexes lume filled with Super-LumiNova C1 marks the hours. Phantom ladder hands outlined in RAF grey infilled with Super-LumiNova C1 are complemented by a reverse lollipop second hand, at 6 o’clock we have the Unimatic motif printed in grey completing this versatile field watch. On the reverse, an engraved Unimatic milliradian scale is used to measure distance, and the individual number out of 500, inside an automatic Seiko Cal. NH35A, 24 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour, the movement has hand winding and hacking seconds for your convenience. The watch comes paired with a Unimatic two-piece nylon 22mm strap, and the watch comes with its Unimatic tough case and paperwork.
Personal Note
The Unimatic U2 is a model you either love on the wrist or you don't, this is due to its unique case shape and perfectly straight lugs, I'd say if you have around a 7inch+ wrist this watch works great on the wrist and offers a unique looking design that won't break the bank! This watch is almost impossible to photograph due to the heavily domed crystal and the monochromatic colours used, but those same things are what make this watch look truly fantastic!

Made in Italy Unimatic was founded by Giovanni Moro and Simone Nunziato, who were both trained as industrial designers at “Politecnico di Milano” where they shared a common interest and passion in wristwatches. They started Unimatic in 2015 with their first product “Modello Uno”. Each piece is unique and hand-manufactured in Milano, Italy.
